Saint Paul's Letter to Year 8 Loreto Normanhurst
Dear girls at Loreto
May the peace and grace of God our father and his son Jesus Christ be with you all.
My prayer for you is that you appreciate the fruits of the spirit and attempt to display these values and qualities in your own lives as well as seek to find them in those around you.
In my letter to the Galatians I speak of the Fruits of the Spirit. The Fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. These are qualities which Jesus taught us to show to everyone around us. They help us to live our lives as understanding and kind people. The Fruits of the Spirit that I am going to focus on peace and kindness. We can all seek to make peace in our lives. We must try to get along with everyone even those who we do not particularly agree with. Don't try to evoke conversations that will hurt someone or cause them to feel left out. Don't purposely exclude someone and turn your back to them in their times of need. In going about our everyday lives and trying to live the Fruits of the Spirit we remember what Jesus taught us and that is to treat others as you would like to be treated. This is telling us that if you are nice and friendly to people then they will in turn also be nice to you.
In conclusion we must strive to live our lives as people who love one another as themselves and who seek to display peace and kindness to everyone they meet.
Sincerely yours,
Paul
